Tourist numbers and spending increase
It has been reported that Malta received 174,715 tourists in July 2012, a record for the month. This follows record numbers in April, May and June. When calculated as tourist nights these numbers represent an 8.2% increase over July 2011. Maltas National Statistics Office estimated spending for July to be in excess of €190 million. …
